Caldea is the largest thermal spa in Southern EuropeThe spa, with 6,000 m² of thermal waters at 36°C, is located in Escaldes-Engordany, a 10-minute walk from the center of Andorra la Vella. General admission costs €37 for adults The complex is open every day from 9:00 to 23:00. With over 700,000 visitors a year, it is the most visited indoor attraction in the Principality.

History and facts of the complex

Caldea opened its doors in 1994 and it was designed by the French architect Jean-Michel Ruolswhose iconic 80-meter glass pyramid has become the modern symbol of Andorra. The complex takes advantage of the natural thermal waters beneath Escaldes, which emerge at 68°C and are cooled to 36°C for recreational use.

The facilities have more than 30 different aquatic zonesThe spa offers a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces, making it one of the most comprehensive thermal parks in Europe. In 2012, Inúu, the premium VIP area, was inaugurated, and in 2018 the Likids children's area underwent a complete renovation.

Chaldea divides its space into several distinct areas:

  • Central lagoon: the large interior space at 36°C with jets, bubble beds and free swimming area.

How to get to Caldea

Chaldea is in Escaldes-Engordanypractically integrated with Andorra la Vella. The options for getting there are:

  • By busThe "Caldea" stop is served from several points in Andorra. Check timetables at mobilitat.ad.

How long does it take?
